Description:  This webinar will cover two major legal topics that the United States Department of Education has highlighted in recent guidance:  (1) The requirement under the ADA that schools provide individuals with disabilities with “effective communication”, that is, communication that is as effective as communication with individuals who are not disabled, and (2) That IEPs provide access to the general curriculum, that is, access to the academic standards for the grade in which the student is enrolled.
