New Course Offering

Register for SPED 101

SPED 101 is a free 2 credit professional development course begins January 23, 2024.
The course is designed for new and experienced school administrators (Principal, Vice Principal, Dean of Students, etc...) who would like to have a stronger understanding of the special education process, their role as the leader of the school's special education team, and how to ensure students with disabilities have meaningful access to the general education content and environment.

Welcome to the Principals Corner. The role of today’s principal is more complex than ever. We have created this little corner of the world specifically for principals and assistant principals to help you navigate the complicated world of special education.  This involves how to provide special education services to students with learning, intellectual, social and emotional, and physical disabilities, and behavioral issues.   As the school leader, parents and teachers look to you to guide them in their meetings regarding these important matters. We hope this corner will help guide you through the maze of issues that you face daily, especially with regards to the education of your students with disabilities. We hope you will come back often to find new information and learn where trainings and additional resources can be found.
