SPED 101
Description
Special Education 101 is a professional development course designed to equip school administrators with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the special education process effectively. Participants will enhance their leadership within IEP teams and gain strategies to promote meaningful access to general education content for students with disabilities. By the end of the course, administrators will be empowered to lead with confidence and foster inclusive educational opportunities.
This paid, 2-credit online PD course runs for four weeks, from June 8th through July 6th. The course includes 4 modules, 4 assignments, and 4 virtual meetings, which will take place each Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM MST.

Audience
Designed for new and experienced school administrators—principals, vice principals, deans of students, and other educational leaders—seeking to strengthen their knowledge of the special education process and leadership role in supporting inclusive practices.
